Props to Levi’s for this ad campaign featuring a free download of Ryan Bingham covering Otis Redding’s That’s How Strong My Love Is. It reminds me how much of an influence Redding is on Bingham’s songwriting style. I’ve been a huge Ryan Bingham since Mescalito came out and I’d put it up there with some of the classic outlaw country albums. Bingham’s work with T Bone Burnett in that movie with Jeff Bridges about the stinky drunk (the one with the final scene filmed at the Santa Fe Opera House) made me love him even more.
